IG: Shoulder Blade Stabilizers… * * There are a complex group of muscles that affect the movement or position of your shoulder blade. In this video, we are predominantly targeting the rhomboids, middle finger traps and serratus anterior. The idea here is to bring awareness to those muscles, particularly the rhomboids and MFT that get weak overtime due to poor positioning. It looks easy, but to keep this motion clean is harder than it seems. Try this drill, aiming to keep your arm straight at all times, do not shrug your shoulders up when moving and focus all attention to your mid back muscles. The protraction (punching forward motion) should drive mainly from just below the armpit to side rib area. Try 5sets of 10 (Each arm position being part of 1 rep) This is great before a good upper body session???? #selfcare #primemovement #mobility

The air is much calmer, the energy is that of recuperation and even the lord recovered on a Sunday?? I’m always a proponent for partnered work because there is more power & consistency when you are accountable to someone. Try this posterior chain stretch with a buddy and go for 20+ reps. You may also do less reps and stay longer in the fold. Top partner, don’t go too fast than your partners tissues allow. Be intuitive and feel the distance their body is allowing for in that moment. Sundays are perfect days to get into a selfcare practice. The air is much calmer, the energy is that of recuperation and even the lord recovered on a Sunday?? I’m always a proponent for partnered work because there is more power & consistency when you are accountable to someone.

Try this posterior chain stretch with a buddy and go for 20+ reps. You may also do less reps and stay longer in the fold.
Top partner, don’t go too fast than your partners tissues allow. Be intuitive and feel the distance their body is allowing for in that moment.

This snapshot is of the lovely @ms.fit.morgan irradiating into adduction first then abduction to get a deeper stretch in her inner thigh region. This is a deep groin stretch and is best shared with a BFF/gym buddy/partner/anyone you’re comfy sitting with to support you mentally lol Go through 5-10 good rounds of contracting in (closing your legs) and contracting out (opening them wider) then holding in the new position for 2mins. Breathe! Repeat for as many cycles as possible and have fun unbinding out of that! Ha!???? #selfcare #primemovement
