A practice in Thailand for over 2,500 years, Thai massage works to clear energy blockages and restore harmony to the body.
The practice blends common western massage therapy techniques such as trigger points, myofascial release and Thai yoga stretching. The yoga stretches have earned it the name “lazy man’s yoga.”
Thai massage helps to strengthen the body, increase flexibility and allow the client to benefit from the relaxation and healing properties of massage.
It is performed fully clothed with the client on floor mats or sometimes the massage table.
Practitioners use their own body weight to position clients into yoga-like forms while instructing clients on deep diaphragmatic breathing for maximum results.
